So many go about influencing the wrong way.  They focus on ‘how can I get this other person to do what I want?’, a one-sided transactional approach.  To have true influence, you first need to guide the discussion to uncover the areas that motivate that other person, then dig deeply into those.

After graduating from Stanford University, John worked in the financial services industry for 25 years, in roles ranging from Product Manager to Chief Actuary. He then opened a successful consulting practice which generated over $2.5 million in revenues.  Two decades ago he started his Career Search Counseling business, and has helped hundreds of professionals land the job and pay they deserve.

"Labor & Employment Law in the Age of Artificial Intelligence"

The presentation will explore how the use of AI in employment decisions may result in non-compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The presentation will also contain a crash course to bring attendees up to speed on the basics of AI.

David Frankel is an associate in the firm’s Business Services Group and focuses on labor and employment law. Prior to joining the firm, David worked for a large law firm and graduated Order of the Coif from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Prior to law school, David practiced as a CPA and worked in both tax and auditing roles at one of the world’s largest accounting firms and at a major international bank.

Mike McKerns has dedicated over two decades to the Staffing Industry. His journey began as the head of Sales for Pathfinders in the Philadelphia market, where he honed his expertise for eight years.

In an entrepreneurial twist, Mike embarked on a new venture and founded Mamu Media, a content marketing company exclusively devoted to empowering staffing companies to elevate their brand. For nearly a decade, he passionately steered Mamu Media towards success, before merging it with Haley Marketing, headquartered in Buffalo, NY.

But Mike's story doesn't stop there. In 2021, he returned to his roots in Sales, taking on the role of Enterprise Account Executive with Avionte Staffing Software. With his wealth of experience and dedication to the industry, Mike McKerns continues to make a lasting impact.
