    "Guidance on Algorithmic Discrimination and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination"
    Presented by Marc Freedman, Saiber

    This is NJ Div of Civil Rights guidance to clarify how the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD) applies to algorithmic discrimination resulting from the use of new and emerging data-driven technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), by employers, housing providers, places of public accommodation, and other entities covered by the LAD.

    Marc Freedman is a Member of Saiber LLC’s Business Services practice group. Over the course of his career, Marc’s practice has focused on the staffing industry, business and corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, employment law, and litigation. Prior to joining Saiber, Marc was a founder and managing partner of Freedman & Friedland LLC, a firm with a particular emphasis on serving clients within the staffing industry.

    "Legal, Legislative Issues and the 2026 Elections: What It All Means for the Staffing Industry "
    Presented by Toby Malara, American Staffing Association

    This presentation will focus on the legal issues most concerning staffing firms in 2026, the top legislative issues we are see in states across the country, and what the outcome of the 2026 elections may mean for the staffing industry and their clients.

    Toby Malara is Vice President of Government Affairs for the American Staffing Association. In his role, Malara directs ASA’s government relations, lobbying, and political activities, including the operations of the associations’ political action committee, StaffingPAC. He also advises members on immigration/I-9, paid sick leave, sales tax, and per diem issues. Malara graduated from Georgetown University and earned a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University.

    "From 0 to Breach – Anatomy of a Cyberattack"
    Presented by Chris Mangano, Withum

    In a rapidly changing digital world, understanding how cyberattacks unfold is crucial for every organization. This session will address the typical phases of a cyberattack, showing how threat-actors operate and what measures can help detect, prevent, and respond to attempted compromises. Attendees will gain practical insights into defending against real-world cyber risks.

    Christopher Mangano is a Managed IT-Cybersecurity Services Leader at Withum with over 40 years of industry experience, including 25 years in CPA firm management and advisory services. He has led the development, build-out, and direction of national Managed Service Provider (MSP) advisory practices, delivering comprehensive IT and cybersecurity solutions to organizations across diverse industries.

    His background also includes specialized leadership in continuance-of-operations planning, disaster recovery, business continuity development, and incident response coordination, helping organizations prepare for and navigate complex business disruptions.

    Christopher Leddy is a Partner at Becker LLC. Mr. Leddy has experience handling and litigating complex employment law issues, as well as negotiating employment-related contracts. This experience spans the vast landscapes of the employer/employee relationship, including state and federal discrimination laws, whistleblower laws, family and medical leave laws, state and federal wage/hour laws, paid family leave insurance laws, paid time off laws, unemployment, and Department of Labor audits. He also applies the knowledge gained from his litigation experience to counseling employers and training supervisors in HR best practices.

    Maria Matkou works in Becker LLC's Business Services Group, focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Governance. Prior to joining Becker LLC, Maria practiced law overseas with Latham & Watkins in Moscow, a global international law firm where she focused on large international financing transactions and debt restructurings. Maria graduated summa cum laude from Moscow State University. After several years as a corporate paralegal, Maria obtained her LL.M. from New York University, where she received the George Colin Award for Distinction in Corporate Law.
